QB Receipt Matcher is a private, internal-use application operated by Katabatic Engineering LLC. This application is not available to the general public. It is used exclusively by the company owner for internal bookkeeping purposes.
When you connect your QuickBooks Online account, the application accesses:
All QuickBooks data accessed by this application is used solely for the purpose of matching receipts to transactions and categorizing expenses. Data is processed locally on the user's own computer. No QuickBooks data is transmitted to any third party, stored on any external server, or shared with anyone.
Receipt images are sent to the Anthropic API (Claude) for optical character recognition (OCR) to extract vendor name, date, and amount information. Only receipt image data is sent to this service, not QuickBooks account data. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy.
All data (transaction records, OCR results, match reports) is stored locally on the user's computer. OAuth tokens for QuickBooks access are stored locally and are never transmitted to any server other than Intuit's own OAuth endpoints.
Data is retained only as long as needed for the receipt matching process. The user may delete all local data files at any time.
You can revoke this application's access to your QuickBooks account at any time through the QuickBooks Online "Manage Apps" settings, or by contacting us at the address below.
